As an NRI you know half truth i would say.
 
Come to india, get Indian salaries , faced bureaucratic problems , face price rise , see you government doing multi lakh crore scam , all this patience will loose.
 
Its al green when we sit outside of a slippery pond.

If we are casting doubts on honest politicians like Dr. Manmohan singh, GOD ONLY SHOULD SAVE INDIA. As NRI for over  last 30 , I know, if India has become a globally recognizable power, It is because of Liberalization policies of Erstwhile prime minister Dr.Narsimha Rao & Dr. Manmohan Deo.
When this pair was given the steering of the financial portfolio , India had barely reserves to pay for one week of oil imports. But for magic wand, all industry / vehicles / public transport in India would have been thrown out of gear and our credit rating in world would have slipped drastically. If today , India is having such a huge foreign exchange reserves, the credit solely goes to this deo.The so called major super powers like USA & France are lining up to sign with  India as their favoured trade partner , because we have the reserves.
Just do not go by past & cast aspirations. Even I was in financial sector in India before I quit my job in 1980 and started my own business.What I said during my tenure as Banker cannot be quoted / nor applicable when today I am in different role.

India is well respected in International circles because of our strict financial discipline & efficient RBI governors.

Rest I leave it to once own wisdom to conclude as they deemed fit.

do you know about the financial status of other countries during the recession of year 2008-2009 which is still in picture there????

Manmohan singh worked in World bank
He was appointed as Finance minister in 1991 through pressure applied by world bank.
Prior to 1991 he was financial advisor to government and also been Governer of RBI. But like any politician, after coming into power he advocated globalisation / liberalisation and country was thrown into the deep well of economic slowdown.
