Cars come swathed with luxury. When someone shells out money, they not only want onlookers to stare in awe at what they possess, but also want to be treated with extravagance when they sit inside. For a car owner more than the facade the interiors matter as an owner will spend time sitting inside the car and not staring at it. Ward has recently come out with a list of winners who managed to come up with plush interiors that dictate extravagance and are high on fine detailing.

With 51 participants competing for the number 1 position, I bet narrowing down on the top 10 would have been a task in itself. Auto makers have become quite competitive when it comes to decorating the inside of a vehicle. They leave no stones unturned and lay stress even on the microscopic details which may miss attention. This adds extra responsibility on the shoulders of those who have to pick the best out of the best.

Out of 51, 10 cars dazzled with all their worth and have been tagged as winners. Amongst the winners are three economy cars, three luxury brands, a sport sedan, minivan, upscale off-road SUV and family sedan. Audi A8 managed to conquer the top slot with its high gloss wood and suede interiors that make it look dipped in luxury. Other cars that follow are BMW X3 xDrive35i, Chevy Cruze 2LT RS, Dodge Charger Rallye Plus, Ford Focus Titanium, Honda Odyssey Elite, Hyundai Elantra Limited, Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit, Kia Optima EX and Volvo S60. These 2011 winners will be further honored on May 17 at a special ceremony in Dearborn, MI.
