The success of India's athletes - second in the overall medal table behind Australia - has created new stars, role models and ambitions in a country where previously only cricket aroused such passion. They have 38 Golds out of their 101 medals. They have surpassed their past record of 30 Gold medals at Manchester in 2002. Here are the Gold-winners of the 2010 Games. Shooters Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang won India its first gold medal. The Indian pair shot gold in the Pairs 10 m Air Rifle Mens event with a Commonwealth Games' record 1,193 points at the Karni Singh ranges, 19 clear of England pair James Huckle and Kenny Parr. Bangladesh's Abdullah Hel Baki and Mohammad Asif Hossain Khan took bronze.  Shooters Rahi Sarnobat and Anisa Sayyed added another gold to India's medal tally in the Commonwealth Games by winning in the pairs 25m pistol event for women.  Ravinder Singh bagged the first yellow metal in wrestling in the 60kg category, beating England's Christopher Terence Bosson 7-2 at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex. Sanjay followed Ravinder's footsteps and got the better of South Africa's Brian Richard Addinall 2-0 in the 74kg category. He won the second Gold for India. Anil Kumar made it three out of three for host country when he defeated Hassene Fkiri of Australia 6-0 in the summit clash of the 96kg. Defending champion Gagan Narang pipped compatriot and Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra to the individual gold medal in 10m air rifle event. Anisa Sayyed won another Gold in the individual 25m pistol event. Rahi Sarnobat won Silver in the same event. Anisa scored 786.8 while Rani scored 781. Omkar Singh won eight Gold for India in the 50 m Pistol event. India's Renu Bala retained her Commonwealth Games 58kg women's weightlifting title with a commanding performance. Bala set a new Commonwealth record by lifting 90kg in the snatch before piling on the pressure with a clean and jerk of 107 for a 197kg total. India's Ravi Kumar Katulu, who only took up weightlifting three years ago, rewrote the record books when he cruised to victory in the 69kg class. Kumar Katulu won with a record total of 321kg after having set new marks of 146kg in the snatch and 175kg in the clean and jerk. Rajender Kumar won gold in the 55kg category, overpowering Pakistan's Azhar Hussain 11-0 in a one-sided final. Gurpreet Singh won a Gold medal in the 10m air pistol with his partner Omkar Singh Shooters Gurpreet Singh clinched second gold medal with Vijay Kumar in the 25m rapid fire pistol pairs event. Kumar and Gurpreet together fired 1162 to bag the top prize, ahead of Malaysia's Amir Hasan Hasli Izwan and Adzha Hafiz (1142) and Australian bronze medal winning duo of Bruce Quick and David Chapman (1125) at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range. Grappler Geeta trounced her rival Emily Bensted of Australia in the 55 kg category final. She entered the gold medal round by defeating Lovina Odohi Edward of Nigeria, but her teammate - 63kg grappler Suman Kundu - lost in the semi-finals. Indian women's recurve team showed nerves of steel to win the gold. The trio of Dola Banerjee, Bombayala Devi Laishram and Deepika Kumari fought back brilliantly to cut a four-point lead and rally past their English opponents in the final round to clinch the gold medal.  The duo of Gagan Narang and Imran Hasan Khan won gold medal in pairs 50-metre rifle 3 positions. Omkar Singh won a gold medal in 10m Air Pistol. Vijay Kumar swelled the hosts' tally by bagging the yellow metal in singles 25-metre rapid fire India's top woman wrestler Alka Tomar outclassed Canada's Tonya Verbeek, who is a silver medalist at the Athens Olympics in 2004 and a bronze medal winner at the 2008 Games in Beijing, to win a Gold in 59 kg freestyle wrestling. She pinned down her in one minute and 49 seconds. Anita became the second girl from Bhiwani after Geeta to win gold after she won her fight in 67kg freestyle category. She beat Megan Budyens of Canada winning the first two rounds on points.  Vijay Kumar and Harpreet Singh won the men's 25m Centrefire Pistol Pairs. Gagan Narang won his fourth gold medal after he fired an impressive 1262.2 in 50-metre rifle 3 positions event. Gagan has become the first male athlete to win four medals in this edition of the Games.    Grappler Yogeshwar Dutt outclassed his Canadian opponent James Mancini 9-2 (3-1, 6-1) in the 60 kg freestyle category to bag a Gold. Narsingh Panch Yadav won his 74 kg freestyle category bout against South African opponent Richard Addinall 4-0. Shy Indian teenager Deepika Kumari won the women's recurve archery final 6-0, collecting the home nation's second archery gold. Rahul Banerjee grabbed the men's individual recurve gold to end India's archery campaign in the Games on a high Harpreet Singh won the yellow metal in 25-metre centrefire pistol singles. Somdev Devvarman ensured that tennis contributed in India's gold medal tally as he grabbed the much-awaited yellow metal, pipping Australia's Greg Jones 6-4, 6-2 in the men's singles final. Indian world champion Sushil Kumar delighted an expectant home crowd with a Gold medal in the freestyle wrestling 66kg. India's latest posterboy treated his fans to an emphatic victory over South African Heinrich Barnes in the final. Krishna Poonia won India's first Commonwealth Games athletics gold medal in 52 years when she led a host nation clean sweep in the women's discus. The women's 4x400m relay quartet of Manjeet Kaur, Sini Jose, Chidananda Ashwini and Mandeep Kaur grabbed the second athletic gold medal. They ran a blistering race to cross the line first in 3 mins 27.77 seconds. Heena Sidhu and Annu Raj Singh triumphed in the women's 10m air pistol pairs event. There was a three-way tie among India, Australia and Canada in the women's 10 metre air pistol with all the teams logging 759 points. India, with Heena shooting 384 and Annu logging 375, got the gold on the basis of count back after having the same number of perfect 10s (21).  Manoj Kumar dismantled England's Bradley Saunders 11-2 in his 64kg bout to win second gold in boxing.  Pramajeet Samota (+91kg) took on Trinidad's Tariq Abdul Haq and was simply destructive in his 5-1 triumph. He won the third Gold in Boxing. Sharath Kamal Achanta and Subhajit Saha of India brought a noisy home crowd to its feet to take gold in the table tennis men's doubles. Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa battled past Singaporean duo of Sari Shanti Mulia and Yao Lei in straight-games to become India's first women's doubles pair to win a gold medal in the badminton event. Second seed Jwala-Ashwini beat top seed Shanti-Lei 21-16 21-19.  Golden girl Saina Nehwal got the 38th Gold that established India firmly at No 2 on the medals tally. Parishka Singh.....
